During this unprecedented time many homeowners have been asking me about how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting our property market, both short term and long term.

The ‘traditional’ methods of buyers registering their requirements, conducting viewings and agreeing to buy a home have dramatically changed during lockdown. With people spending more time at home and less properties reaching the open market, we have experienced an increase in new buyers registering with Hearnes directly. They are keen to know which properties are coming to the market soon and how they can view them.
Sellers are providing us with video tours and photos of their home to share with Bournemouth’s and Ringwood’s largest database of buyers and ask for my honest advice on how to best market their home before it is listed for sale.

Despite the lockdown, Hearnes’ local values and proactive approach is still at the core of our success. We match properties which are not on the open market to buyers and their specific requirements. Whilst this accounted for approximately 40% of our sales earlier in the year, it now accounts for the majority.
