Transylvania is, for many of us, a land of myth, fairy tales and vampire legends. In reality, this heartland of Romania, cradled in the imposing Carpathian and Apuseni mountains, is a place of extraordinary beauty, intriguing foods and warm hospitality.
The Greyhound Inn has strong ties to Transylvania it being the home place of our talented Head Chef Alexandru Ciresaru. In his 17 years’ experience, he has been fortunate to work and learn from some of the best chefs around the country.
Now in the stunning scenery of Corfe Castle, Alex and his team have been busy crafting and perfecting a new range of mouth-watering gourmet brioche breakfast rolls with delicious locally sourced fillings including our in-house cured and smoked pork belly bacon. Boston butt pork shoulder covered in our own house rub and then smoked low and slow over fruit woods, Pork and leek sausage patties and free range eggs.
